Performance pieces for stage and site specific

In collaboration with:
Henrik Agger and Louise Bjurholm von Euler.
Less is a performance that takes you into the world of circus in an exploratory way, in a search of a new physical language.

In Less, the physical language between two pair acrobats and a tight wire artist is in focus as they engage with their shared working height of two meters.
With a steel structure and specially composed music, created from the sounds of the tight wire structure itself, a suggestive and intimate work emerges where repetition and change are explored in a 360-degree perspective.

The artists´presence is palpable and their constant movement is filled with care and necessity. The audience is invited into a nearly meditative state that arises when each small movement or support becomes an action crucial for moving forward. It serves as a reminder that we often need others to progress, and that within vulnerability, there can be both strength and community.

The performance is based on an artistic research work initiated at SITE Sweden in 2023. Where the 3 artists have explored their circus disciplines with the ambition to re-examine and evolve the approach to their previously held conceptions of them.

LESS can be played both inside and outside.

In the outside version the tight wire structure becomes an architectural element that interacts with the existing environment.

HKL gives you MORE

MORE is an upcoming piece. It becomes H K L’s second collaborative work. In the first piece, LESS, we explored repetition and intensification within a constant physical material, where layers were added and removed. The result was a stripped-down expression.
In MORE, we expand our artistic vision and allow a moving scenography to become part of the physical material. Smoke and light add layers, and plastic becomes an element that can enhance, conceal, and create spatialities. This work is created for stage spaces, without compromising the technical requirements necessary to perform circus.

The scenography consists of a mobile plastic cube, measuring 8 × 4 meters, which can be raised, lowered, filled with smoke, and projected on. All of these elements become mechanisms we use in choreographing and in making visible our shared working height of 2 meters.

at primary school and suits young family audiences.

Premiered January 2023

"With a minimal tight wire structure, emotion-handstand, cornflakes and bubblewrap Krisp is a performance filled with experiments created from the the topic ”give space”.
Through the physical language of circus and tactile elements the artists in a playful way let the audience connect to their senses, experience the clarity of what we can communicate through body language and how we can create new possibilities by cooperation."

The creation process took place in close collaboration with the age group through play, dialogue, experimentation and public showings through out the process.
